In 2013, my dad founded the Marin Youth Soccer Association (MYSA). If you wanted to play soccer and be on the team, you could join. He didn’t care if you couldn’t afford it; he wanted all of us to enjoy and cherish life.
My dad organized practices, purchased equipment, paid referees, hired coach Julius, rented vans, and drove us to games and Stinson Beach for us to train on the sand. He did everything for us, a selfless servant in the truest sense.
He was however, on a budget when he bought our jerseys, so we got pink v-necks and white duct tape for numbering. It was distinctive and characteristically Jeff. I’ve never had more fun, and those were some of my dad’s happiest days.
My dad took photos of some of our games and practices, so I am uploading the pictures to this photo album.
